I have 17 drafts in my phone...

...most of which are cool thoughts, verses, or prophecies that I received without pen or paper. I may start writing on a few of them. Here's the most recent and prevalent:

So this weekend the Movement team and I went to a Catch the Fire conference held in Duluth, MN. We got to lead a couple of sets. The weekend was fabulous, and even though I had to leave early, I learned so much - there were many fathers and mothers of the faith that were present (many where speakers). It was fabulous to come under them and learn what they had to say about faith from years of experience.

Throughout the weekend, a main theme was the freedom we have in Christ, and the bondage we are put into through sin. So many times this weekend, I heard testimonies of deliverance, freedom, breaking of strongholds and addictions, and people stepping into the edge of the fullness that Christ has to offer. What does the Bible say?

Psalm 18:19 (NKJV)

He also brought me out into a broad place;
He delivered me because He delighted in me.

The freedom of the Lord is so satisfying.

The thing is, his freedom doesn't always seem like freedom from the eyes of the world. The freedom that the Lord offers requires discipline, obedience, and sacrifice. The freedom that the Lord offers requires your full heart.

Let's take this head on: "Freedom" by the world's standard is not freedom. Freedom with sex, drugs, alcohol, and money offers nothing but bondage. What the world considers freedom is bondage. What the world considers bondage (to Christ). Is actually freedom.

1 Corinthians 1:27 (NKJV)

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.

The freedom of God is foolishness to man. Serving and getting low is foolishness to men, but it is enriching to the spirit-man.

The real question is this:

Why do we waste so much time on something that costs so much, but doesn't satisfy, when we could be spending time on something that is free and satisfies completely?
